Meet Attorney Jay F. Theise

Admitted to the Bar of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and Federal Courts in 1970, I have a general business and personal rights practice, including litigation in all state courts, federal courts, and before administrative bodies. Many of my cases have taken me across the United States, and with the assistance of foreign counsel to Canada, Europe, Israel, and many of the Caribbean Islands in furtherance of Clients’ interests. 

I have moved my practice to Martha’s Vineyard, presently practicing from a home office; and have moved my downtown Boston office to the Hartwell Business Park in suburban Lexington, Massachusetts. In this era of Covid-19, few want to come into any office at all, and fewer to downtown Boston. A great deal of my practice has come from other law firms which engage me due to internal conflicts of interest. As a result of this part of my practice, I have developed a vast network of lawyers and law firms in virtually all practice areas, including areas I do not practice. It is significant because I can reach out to profoundly able counsel for backup and coverage without limitation.
